Are you between 14 and 17 and have a passion for learning French, surfing and having fun?  If so, we have just the study abroad program for you in Biarritz from June – August each year.

The French school that hosts our summer camp for teens has been in existence since the early 1990’s.  In addition to its high quality, intensive French classes, the summer program offers a variety of fun, chaperoned activities, surfing and carefully selected host family accommodation. It also provides an exciting opportunity to meet and make friends with students from all over Europe, America and Asia, making this a very popular program for students who are looking for a truly international experience.

The professors are all native French speakers with at least 10 years teaching experience. The lessons focus on speaking and listening skills with appropriate attention also paid to reading ,writing and comprehension. Classes are small (between 6 and 15 students) and professors are skilled at adapting programs to suit all levels of French.

Mornings are spent improving your French on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  For added interest there are supervised workshops , outings and activities where students learn more about Biarritz and the surrounding area, its history, its Basque cultural influence, and its notable cuisine.

Wednesday is excursion day when students are taken on interesting and enjoyable day trips to places of historic and cultural interest. 

Students are lodged in double rooms with another student of a different nationality.  All meals and linen are provided by the host family.  Home stay families are carefully selected and situated close to the town centre and the school.

Surfing in France started in Biarritz and surfers come from all over the world to ride the waves.  The beaches are long and golden, the sun shines most of the time and there are surf breaks to suit every one.  We offer optional surf lessons to students four days per week with each session lasting approximately 3 hours.
