Learn Spanish & Kiteboard in Manta, Ecuador

Learn Spanish in the authentic Ecuadorian coastal city of Manta and kiteboard/kitesurf in Santa Marianita (14 miles/20 Km) to the south (transport from the school daily). This is a fantastic new, and quickly growing destination for Kitesurfing. Between May and November a strong, and very steady wind blows. It offers amazing kiteboarding, and is still un-crowded! We offering kiteusrfing in Manta only during the best time of May-November. Please see our other locations if you want to kite board outside these months.

Intensive One on One (20 hours per week)

Kiteboarding course includes:  

1. Basic knowledge / understanding of the wind
2. Equipment: Parts, set-up.
3. Security systems
4. Controlling the kite:
   • Practice with the trainer kite
   • Raising the kite in the correct position
   • Four lines kite, inflatable
   • Neutral points and power zones
   • Self rescue
   • Body dragging (practicing, controlling the kite in the water)
   • Relaunching, taking the kite out of the water
5. Using the board:
   • Exercises on the sand
   • Practice using the board in the water

This is an IKO certified course and you will receive IKO certification Level I 

Kiteboarding Level 2
10 hours of Kiteboarding Level II instruction

 Intermediate course (Level II).-All the equipment provided
-Instruction: personalized

Kiteboarding course includes:  

1. One on one private instruction
2. Theory of Wind patterns, currents and tides
3. Water practical with board and kite
4. Learning to tread water on edges of the board and obtaining more control of the Kites and board
5. Directional control
6. Basic Jib
7. Introduction to jumping
   - Beach exercises (with smaller kites for initial safety)
   - Water practise of jumps

This is an IKO certified course and you will receive IKO certification Level II

Spanish and Manta Activo: For your partner!

Often kiteboarders come with their partners! So they can also have a great time, we offer a Spanish and activities in the afternoon.  course. Weekly individual attention program of 30 hours combining Spanish classes with daily visits within and outside of the city. This program will allow the student the opportunity to put into practice Spanish that is learned in the class by means of different excursions with their professor.
