Montanita - a beach paradise in Ecuador

Montanita was a sleepy small Ecudorian town just ten years ago. Although it has kept its natural charm, it now is a hip and funky town that is on the lips of all travellers to Ecuador.

Its still small and real with no large hotels or complexes. Just walk down the main street and feel the atmosphere! There is  Great fresh food, and many restaurants. surfing the day everyone hangs out on the beach, either to sunbath or to try there hand at the world class surfing that's right in front of you.

Montanita is renown as a very safe and friendly place. There is always a smile, and someone to help.

During the evening Montanita comes alive! With a happy feel, restaurants, many cocktail stands to relax and chat. Then later still the nightclubs and bars hum to the Latino beat!
Montanita itself is filled with Latin music until the early hours, so its best not to sleep  in town, but rather at Montantia cabanas just a short 3 minute stroll way, but a different world. Here its peaceful and quiet. The perfect compromise, fun, action and dancing when you wish to have it is just minutes away.

Very close to Montantia there is very good cloud forest walks and horse trekking, excellent diving, and wild life tours to Isla De Plata.

Montanita is a must visit destination!
